If you haven’t spotted adidas’ new Sportswear line yet, then it's time you paid attention. Launched just last month with an announcement fronted by Wednesday star Jenna Ortega and footballer Son Heung-min, the new fashion-forward line has sport and style at its core. Positioned between its Performance and Originals line, adidas Sportswear is the range everyone’s talking about right now, so here are the bits you should consider adding to your wardrobe.
To kick things off, the 3-Stripes has put a contemporary spin on the tracksuit by offering up this track top. Papped on Ortega herself, the comfy sweat comes with a twist thanks to its unique collar detail, while a loose, relaxed fit makes it a perfect option for casual styling. Style with a mock-neck top underneath for a 90s-inspired layered look, and pair with jeans for a an easy everyday ‘fit, or the black Tiro Advanced tracksuit bottoms for a more sleek and sporty vibe.
You might recognise the purple version of this jersey from Ortega’s original ambassador announcement, but the bad news is that it's long sold out. That being said, we think that this bold red option is the perfect alternative, offering up countless Blokecore-inspired styling choices. Not forgetting its sportswear roots, the long sleeve takes all the best bits from a football jersey, and transforms them into a casual staple, with a loose fit, crew neckline and ribbed cuffs.
Finally, if you were looking to add an extra splash of colour to your wardrobe, the Sportswear range’s purple shade doesn’t just stop with the jersey. Ready to take you from rest day to running errands is the Tiro Advanced Track Top and pants, two sporty yet stylish uniform that’ll have you covered no matter what the day throws at you. Too bold? You’ll be pleased to know it comes in other colourways, including a stealthy black version.
What do you think of the line so far? Look for more styles to drop over the coming months, and in the meantime, check out the rest of the range over at adidas.
