All You Need to Know About The COMME des GARCONS HOMME PLUS x Nike Air Max Sunders

First debuted during Tokyo Fashion Week 2021, as part of Rei Kawakubo's Spring/Summer 2022 collection, the Nike Air Max Sunder SP x COMME des GARCONS HOMME had fashion fanatics and sneakerheads alike gossiping about the 1999 silhouette. Releasing in Japan last April, fans around the rest of the world have had to be patient, but we can confirm that the collection will be dropping soon, including "Triple Black", "Black/White" and "Triple White" colourways.

The cross-training shoe first emerged at the end of the millennium constructed from Lycra, now the leather body comes wrapped in spandex and shows off a visible Air unit in the midsole. The mixture of neoprene and nubuck makes for one luxurious yet sporty sneaker, that suits the high-fashion, sock-style silhouette that is trending at the moment.

COMME des GARCONS HOMME branding sits on the tongue, part of a laceless system, whilst mini Swooshes are embroidered on the lateral sidewall. The zip fastening has Air branding at the bottom, but apart from that the minimalist sneaker sits pretty without making a massive statement. Less is more, right?
