Following on from the Animal Instinct Air Jordan 11, Nike are set to continue their animal-print theme with the women’s-exclusive Nike Air Max 90 "Leopard." The Tinker Hatfield-designed Air Max 90 is always a fan-fave, and it’s only right that it receives new updated colourways on the regular, and we’ve been treated to some great ones since its 30th anniversary back in 2020.
The "Leopard" AM90 is one of Nike's more understated animal-print variations, with the majority of the shoe taking on a clean white and off-white leather and mesh construction. The "Leopard" theme comes in the form of an animal-print Swoosh that sweeps across the side of the shoe, and printed elements that decorate the lace unit.
The laces have also received a leopard-print twist, with tonal-brown speckles appearing against the white background. Elsewhere, the overlays have been done up in a muted orange suede to complement the colour scheme.
Underfoot, the classic AM90 sole unit remains a crisp white, with a visible air unit peeking out with orange detailing. The outsole appears to feature Nike’s Grind Rubber, which is part of their Move to Zero initiative and highlights their efforts to be a more sustainable brand. The "Leopard" Air Max 90 is finished with tonal-brown branding hits on the tongue and rubber heel panel.
We’re yet to hear about a release date for the "Leopard" Nike Air Max 90, but we expect the shoe to land on SNKRS sometime in the next few weeks.
