We knew another Prada x adidas collaboration was incoming, but now we finally know what it's going to look like as we take an exclusive gander at the Prada x adidas Luna Rossa 21. The third collaboration between the Italian fashion house and the German giant after the first Superstar release and the second Superstar collection, this shoe takes on a form that we've never seen before, and honestly, we're pretty hyped.
Heavily inspired by the America's Cup which was designed to be a sailing shoe, the Luna Rossa 21 completely reworks it from the ground up. Directly translating to "red moon", it's painted in a pristine palette with an upper that is crafted from a series of expertly engineered PRIMEGREEN panels which introduce ocean plastics into the mix.
Three Stripes and perforations make their way to the lateral and medial side panels, while the heel is decorated with co-branded detailing. To round it all off, a Boost midsole sits down below for comfort and cushioning that's off the charts, making them perfect for both the average sneakerhead and the luxury label's Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli sailing team.
Expected to launch on December 9th, the Prada x adidas Luna Rossa 21 may not be for everyone, but it's clear to see that this collab is continuing to blur the line between high fashion and sportswear. Let us know what you think of this hotly anticipated partnership, and while you're here, you might as well take a closer look at the Sean Wotherspoon x adidas ZX 8000 "Super Earth"!
