This is it, chief. After literally years of waiting, the long awaited Yeezy BSKTBL "Quantum" is finally here. Kanye West's debut into the wonderful world of basketball trainers, he first teased this shoe back in 2018 when he was spotted rocking a pair in Chicago, and now, we're taking an official look.
Painted in a black, white, and silver colour scheme the "Quantum" looks like it just landed on Earth. Boasting an extremely futuristic design, the side panels are decked out in Primeknit with a unique "Zebra"-inspired pattern, while a series of transparent mesh stripes also feature for a look that's not too dissimilar to the most recent Yeezy Boost 350 V2s.
The lacing system, that's borrowed straight from the recently unveiled Yeezy 700 V3, forms a subtle yet striking U-shape, and this leads towards the toe box that's decked out in a buttery smooth suede.
Moving towards the ankle, neoprene provides the perfect support both on the court and and on the street, while a shimmering silver heel counter is infused with 3M for a reflective look. Of course, we can't talk about the "Quantum" without mentioning the full length adidas Boost midsole that's still as comfortable as ever.
The "Quantum" will launch in two models. First of all, this one is more oriented at performance-based usage, while a lifestyle-focused version will also be available, curiously dubbed the Yeezy QNTM "Quantum". We're not entirely sure why Ye decided to go with this particular name, but it is what it is.
For those looking to cop the adidas Yeezy BSKTBL "Quantum" and the adidas Yeezy QNTM "Quantum", they're both set to drop during NBA All-Star Weekend 2020 from February 14th to February 16th. At this moment in time, it doesn't look like these will be coming to Europe anytime soon, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops!
What do you think of Kanye's latest and greatest silhouette? Is it everything that you were hoping for? Let us know what's on your mind, and while you're here, take a closer look at the Yeezy 700 V3 "Alvah"!
