An On-Foot Look at the fragment design x Nike Dunk High "London"

Nike Dunk
By Adam Cheung • Head of News & Creative • 18 Jan

Last week, Hiroshi Fujiwara took to Instagram to tease the return of the legendary fragment design x Nike Dunk High "City Pack". First unveiled over a decade ago back in 2010, the ultra exclusive collection represented three major cities around the globe, namely Beijing, London, and New York. Each colourway in some way or another referenced the metropolis' culture and community, and this was reflectively perfectly on the fragment design x Nike Dunk High "London" which we're going to take an on-foot look of.

Images courtesy of sneaker Instagrammer @yankeekicks, the "London" is by far the most vibrant of the bunch. While some are getting rhubarb sweet vibes off of these - a quintessentially British classic - they're actually a homage to 1977's "Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols" album cover. Fujiwara is famously a massive fan of the English punk rock band, in fact, he recently teamed up with aka Six for a tote bag that's decorated with text from Jamie Reid, who famously also created the aforementioned cover.

Painted in mismatched yellow and pink tones, the Dunk High is crafted from smooth premium leather complete with a nylon tongue and a Nike Swoosh that elegantly glides across the lateral and medial side panels. The godfather of streetwear's signature thunderbolt is debossed at the heel, and while this image showcased the OG pair from '10, the one that's rumoured to be returning this year will be done up with technical verbiage across the midsole as an ode to the future.

Expected to make a comeback very soon, the fragment design x Nike Dunk High "London" should not be missed, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for your best chance to cop! Let us know which "City Pack" colourway you're feeling the most, and in related news, it looks like the AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High "Deep Royal Blue" could be on the way!
