When it comes to the most valuable re-sell trainers, it's always the obvious ones that come to mind first. Any of those deconstructed icons from Off-White x Nike, obviously, and how could we forget about the Yeezy line-up, pre-2018 of course! But most sneaker collectors would be quick to reel off lesser-known collabs. Take for example, the KAWS x Jordan 4.
Depending on when you joined the street-wear scene, you could have missed this collab entirely. It was a major launch back in 2017, limited to only a few thousand pairs. Not surprisingly, this limited-edition crep now commands up to £1000 on the resell market! Fortunately, for those of you who can't quite justify those prices, another KAWS x Jordan 4 is in the works!
Considered amongst the all-time greatest Jordan 4s, this rendition was heavy on playful style cues yet somehow remained totally understated. KAWS founder Brian Donnelly chose to impart his iconic toy figurine as a print, laser-etched across suede uppers. It got even more unique thanks to that glow-in-the-dark midsole.
Whilst this shoe was thought to be an exclusive, rumours just surfaced of another Jordan 4 at the hands of Brian Donnelly. Images are yet to be revealed but according to @mordernnotoriety, these are hitting shelves later this year.
It coincides with Nike's 30th Anniversary of the AJ4, now well underway with the recent launch of the Jordan 4 'Black Laser'. Several other OGs are expected to re-release but we're guessing this KAWS edition will be the most anticipated of 2019.
