ASICS design teams worked alongside the ASICS Institute of Sport Science to refine the runner, pulling inspiration straight from the company's extensive archives. The updated construction packs FF BLAST™ PLUS cushioning and targeted GEL™ technology units into the midsole, cutting weight while maximizing underfoot support.
Walking mechanics differ fundamentally from running strides, so ASICS built the GEL-NYC™ 2.0 specifically around everyday movement. The sole unit integrates flex grooves alongside an asymmetrical arch support system, helping commuters and city walkers roll smoothly through every step.
The ASICS GEL-NYC™ 2.0 launched this week and is available for £155 at ASICS UK. The rollout includes three clean colourways: Slate Blue, Clay Grey, and Loden Green.
