This drop follows a collaboration with New York-based homeware brand Gohar World, which was a surrealist take on the brand-new silhouette. The Japanese brand has transformed the Gel-DS Trainer into a ballerina-style y2k design, taking on the hyper-feminine contours of a typical ballet flat and applying it on the sporty technology of the Asics running shoe.

The experimental collaboration with Gohar World brought a black colourway with a mesh upper, featuring dual black and orange laces, and hand-applied whimsical embellishments such as piercings, pearls and other charms – reflecting the avant-garde aesthetics of the Gohar World world.

The wider general release of the Gel-DS Trainer SP in three colourways: silver, black and white. The upper features a mesh and leather build, but lets the laces take the spotlight with the ballet-style lacing system.
