Athletic Meets Automotive: Nissan x New Balance Introduce Innovative Concept Car

Besides Aimé Leon Dore's Porsche revival projects, we don't tend to see direct collaborations between the automotive and streetwear industries all that often, and for good reason. These projects are undoubtedly a difficult task to undertake, but another contender has now arrived with Nissan x New Balance looking to add their own twist on things.

It's no secret that New Balance loves its Japanese customer base, having delivered a range of Japanese-exclusive products and designs over the years, but this new link-up with Nissan is undoubtedly its boldest project yet. The duo has joined forces for a special edition of the Nissan Kicks Electric SUV aptly named the "327 Edition."

If you hadn't guessed yet, the "327 Edition" draws direct inspiration from New Balance's iconic 327 silhouette, with the car now donning the same shaped upper construction. In addition, white laces and stitches across the car's body can be seen, further likening it to its footwear counterpart. Now for the disappointing aspect - the car won't be available to any hypebeasts with disposable income, but if you do happen to spot the ride cruising around Tokyo, fans who tweet a picture will be entered into a draw to win some New Balance and Nissan goodies.
