Athletics And Aesthetics Unite For The Missoni x adidas Collection

adidas has tapped luxury Italian fashion house Missoni for a special edition collection that flawlessly fuses athletics and aesthetics. Comprising of a range of Ultra Boosts as well as running apparel, this is arguably one of 2019's hottest collaborations, and here's what you need to know!

Founded almost seventy years ago back in 1953, Missoni is known for its vibrant use of knitwear, unconventional patterns, and innovative dying techniques. “Missoni is a language that along its 66-year-old story has been applied to many products."; explains Angela Missoni, Missoni's Creative Director. "We like to work in partnership and to expand, to experiment, to join resources and skills to get to innovative unique results as is happening now with adidas.”

For this collection, the Varese-based imprint has given the iconic Ultra Boost Clima a space-dyed makeover. Comprising of six distinct colourways, each model is crafted from Primeknit, and play with Missoni's iconic flame-like pattern, featuring it all over or as a colour hit on the lacing cage.

In addition to this, the sneakers will be complemented by an advanced running apparel capsule that includes a Primeknit short sleeve tee, a weatherproof jacket, and a knitted Marathon 10 short. These will be available for both men and women and will be offered in multicoloured and monochromatic options.
