ASICS describes the new GEL-1090 as being "re-engineered with a modern lens, while retaining its signature design details". Like any great come-back, the Japanese brand manages to celebrate their heritage whilst bringing some contemporary touches. The look and profile is almost identical to the OG models - great news for all you purists - but with added technology upgrades these are now even more comfortable too.

That midsole is loaded with EVA foam which provides energised cushioning whilst GEL technology delivers that all important shock absorption.
