After conquering the tennis aesthetic with Lacoste earlier this year, Angelo Basque's streetwear imprint Awake NY is back and ready to honour its heritage. For SS22, Awake NY is embracing its New York City roots with a range of garments inspired by the early fashion of the '00s in the city.
Included within this latest selection, we see outerwear sweatsuits, cargo pants, cardigans, shorts and a regular selection of hoodies, crewnecks and more, all of which either inherit trends from the time period or sport graphics relating back to the city. Each of these pieces comes equipped in a range of eclectic hues, including shades of coral, lavender, goldenrod, olive green and Fuschia.
Notable pieces from the collection include a duo of zip fleeces bearing the two towers from the world trade centre on the front. With both black and blue tints on offer, these pieces are ideal for cooler summer evenings. Additionally, Awake NY has produced another double-breasted suit complete with pastel blue and pink stripes atop a grey base colour.
For those looking to cop Awake NY's SS22 collection, it will start dropping from May 4th. In other news, Stone Island looks to its archives for this 40th-anniversary anorak.
