Fear of God Athletics and adidas are set to launch its second basketball shoe, the Fear of God Athletics Basketball II. Coming in a "Night Brown" colourway, the Basketball II will be available in both high top and mid cut versions. This new release combines the design language of FoG founder Jerry Lorenzo with influences from the bold branding of the adidas Sobakov and even a hint of YEEZY.
The latest model seeks to enhance the Fear of God Athletics basketball line by broadening its range and elevating its performance capabilities.
The first Fear of God adidas shoes were criticised for being unsuitable for in game use, lacking modern technology and design. Jerry Lorenzo addresses these issues with the sequel, which has already seen NBA action thanks to adidas athlete Gabe Vincent.
The official images show off a brown upper and cream white opaque soles for both shoes. The Mid version boasts abstract striping, an external heel counter, and signature Fear of God branding.
The High version adds an ankle strap for better lockdown. The outsole traction is arranged in circles for improved grip on the court.
Looking at the photos, we feel that these shoes may be incorporating adidas cushioning technologies like BOOST or Lightstrike.
The adidas Fear of God Athletics Basketball II launches this December 2024. Stay tuned to The Sole Supplier for more details on the exact release date and pricing.
