June 2026 has been a busy month so far. We’ve been preoccupied with a range of games and matches, from the Knicks winning to the World Cup. But as we’re all locked in watching the games, things have been happening in the fashion world. We’re halfway through the Men’s Paris Fashion Week for SS27, and among the high-end beautiful designs, we’re getting a stream of new sneaker teases and releases on the runway and the showrooms.
At Nike’s first ever Paris Fashion Week showroom, we got to see what they’ve got coming up, and the brand did not disappoint. A square-toed Air Force 1 with a cowboy boot treatment, an Air Rift boot, a loafer-style Air Max, and retro-style ballet flats were presented among other funky silhouettes that we didn’t see coming. Nike’s been cooking, it seems.

Story mfg. presented their SS27 collection preview, and with that an exciting upcoming release. The Brighton-based brand is back with Asics for what looks like a new iteration of the Gel-Venture 6(?) in two wintery colourways – a black and a brown – in a checked print, releasing in November.

A decade after releasing their last collaboration, Rick Owens and adidas return for SS27. The designer showed the pieces from his upcoming Three Stripes linkup, featuring innovative performance gear that we weren’t expecting. Owens worked with adidas’ Climacool technology for inflatable jackets that look like sculptural balloon-like pieces with embedded fans that provide cooling to whoever’s wearing it (just in time for the heatwave). The designer also presented an Adizero Adios Pro Evo with an oversized midsole and a waterproof gaiter boot built on adidas’ Springblade cushioning system. Insane work.

For PFW, Vans has collaborated with a lineup of creatives to reimagine the classic Slip-On silhouette. Artists Mattias Gollin, Lorenzo Fioravanti and Vanna Youngstein have all reworked the Slip-On into one-of-one creations, each with their own distinctive aesthetic.
Louis Vuitton creative director Pharrell Williams showed his SS27 collection a few days ago – which was all about surfing, he even built an indoor beach for the runway – presenting the new LV skate shoe, named Combi. In a very Vans-esque style silhouette (so much so that Vans even commented on it) the Combis will be coming out in a range of colour, including a red leather croc and the LV print).

ON is once again back with PAF for the Current Form 4.0. Inspired by the moth’s metamorphosis (ok, we’re sat), the collection and accompanying campaign explore the transformation within the act of running, connecting body to mind. The collection features a new silhouette, the Cloudboom Volt PAF, which takes on an intricate overlay design on the upper along with an integrated wrap construction built for ultimate speed running. The collection also includes a running jacket, running tops and shorts, socks, a bag and a cap. Current Form 4.0 is out now at on.com.
Asics©
Asics has linked up with LA-based collective Little Tokyo Table Tennis (LTTT) during Paris Fashion Week for a three-day public table tennis activation to celebrate their new collaboration. The reworked Gel-Resolution 5 draws from the Asics tennis archive and has been reimagined through the LTTT’s community-led lens bringing together sport, culture and Japanese heritage. If you’re in Paris, head to Ellia Art Gallery in Le Marais, the Asics x LTTT Ping Pong Club will run from June 25th until June 27th. The Asics x LTTT Gel-Resolution 5 is set to drop today at asics.com.

Vans has joined forces with Undercover for new iterations of the Classic Slip-On 98 and the Sk8-Hi. For the collaboration, the brands worked with painter Emma Bennett, transforming the Slip-On into a canvas for her paintings “Whence You Came and Ardour”. The Sk8-Hi takes a more lowkey route of a minimal upper with sharp lines. Shop the collaboration at vans.com.
