Notorious in the footwear industry for creating head-turning sneakers, New York-based label MSCHF is back at it again. While the brand isn’t getting sued, it’s hard at work creating the next meme-worthy addition to its extensive back catalogue. Debuting the so-called “Big Red Boots” via Instagram, the label presents us with one of the wildest-looking creations we’ve seen yet. Crafted entirely from TPU rubber, the cartoon-looking boots come complete with an EVA foam midsole for comfort, and remind us of the boots worn by Astro Boy, the star of the Japanese manga series of the same name.
When posting about the boots via social media, MSCHF has stated “if you kick someone with these boots they go BOING!”, along with the quote “you never design shoes to be shaped like feet. The Big Red Boots are REALLY not shaped like feet, but they are EXTREMELY shaped like boots.” Set to release on the 16th February via the MSCHF website and app, the Big Red Boots are rumoured to be extremely limited. Stay locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest on this pair and so many more, and while you’re with us check out the upcoming Air Jordan 4 “Seafoam”!
