If you haven’t got your hands on a pair of Birkenstocks yet, take this as your sign to consider copping some. The German sandal brand is steeped in heritage, and that’s never been clearer than in its 1774 line. Named after its founding year, the line is dedicated to the brand’s special projects, whether that's collaborating with the likes of Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God, or reinventing classic silhouettes as seen in this collection here.
Here, some of Birkenstock’s signature styles have received a more fashion-forward update in line with the brand’s foray into the fashion space. Working with the Tokio, Arizona, Sylt, Florida and Mayari silhouettes, the pack comes updated with premium leather and suede constructions and playful paint jobs - the raw materials all being sourced in Europe. For those who prefer to stay away from summer brights, the pairs will also be made available in black and beige for a cleaner take.
The collection is set to drop on Birkenstock's 1774 website and select global retailers from the 20th of March, so keep your eyes peeled if you’re looking to add a touch of luxury to your rotation.
Up next, here's all the footwear from the upcoming Gucci x adidas collab.
