As we power through into the latter end of the year, the Nike Dunk continues to reign supreme in the footwear world and it’s showing no signs of slowing down. Fresh off the press are these official images of the latest UNDERCOVER x Nike collaboration, which comes in the form of a Dunk High. Jun Takahashi’s label is no stranger to a Swoosh collaboration at all, as the two labels have worked together countless times over the years.
Decked out in a colourway that bears a strong resemblance to the legendary “Bred” colour palette that first graced the AJ1 back in 1985, these Dunks are going to be a must cop for many sneakerheads due to the collaborative nature and the epic looks they present.
The pair appear to be crafted from a mix of tumbled and smooth leather and showcase classic Dunk panelling across the uppers, a pattern which has barely changed since Peter Moore introduced the model in 1984. Nike’s Swoosh logo is located on both the lateral and medial sides along with UBA “Undercover Basketball Association” logos stamped onto the heels. Dual branding also features on the tongue tabs along with perforated toe box sections.
This all sits on top of a full-length Nike Air midsole that’s decked out in a speckled pattern, a well-loved touch in the industry. If you’re liking the look of the UNDERCOVER x Nike Dunk High “Gym Red”, then the good news is that the pair is set to hit Nike’s SNKRS app and select retailers on the 28th July, so keep it locked in right here for more details! While you’re here, be sure to take a look at the epic Offspring sale!
