Get your passport ready, because this new Nike Dunk is like a one-way ticket to a tropical island. Hot off the back of the “Rising Sun” Dunk comes a brand-new take on the sneaker, the Dunk Low “Nike Sun Club.” Expected to form part of a pack of sunny day-inspired Dunks later down the line, the addition of this tropical trainer to Nike’s line-up has us wishing for warmer weather.
Dressed in a similar pastel palette to its accompanying “Rising Sun” pair, the “Nike Sun Club” Dunk Low is reminiscent of beachy holidays, clear skies, and tropical fruit salads. Made up of tumbled leather and cute canvas, the sneaker’s construction doesn’t stray too far from the “Rising Sun” pair either.
Coming in “Arctic Orange” and “Sanded Gold,” the “Sun Club” Dunk sees a pinky coloured canvas base get taken over by tan leather overlays. Adding to the colourful colour scheme, canvas panels also dress the heel, which comes in shades of green, and the medial walls, which take on a blue tone. The canvas tongue takes on a peachy coloured shade, and the tongue tab boasts “Nike Sun Club” branding. This all sits atop a crisp white midsole, and a green Grind Rubber outsole that matches the green-coloured heels and sock liner. The “Sun Club” Dunks are finished with split colour Nike Swooshes, that appear in gold across the lateral sides and blue on the medial side, and an island sunrise-inspired graphic on the heel.
Think the “Nike Sun Club” Nike Dunk Low could brighten up your shoedrobe? We’re yet to hear of a release date for the sneaker, but be sure to keep it locked for more info and images as they come in.
Until then, why not check out these neutral-hued Dunks?
