Buckle Up For The COMME des Garcons x Air Jordan 1

After getting a glimpse at the COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Air Presto and a closer look at the COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Air Footscape Motion last week, we now have our first look at the upcoming COMME des Garcons x Air Jordan 1, and it's unlike AJ1 you've seen before.

A mish-mash between Buscemi, Givenchy, and of course, Giuseppe Zanotti, the CDG x AJ1 was unveiled during Rei Kawakubo's Fall/Winter 2019 runway showcase at Paris Fashion Week. Taking on the Air Jordan 1 Retro High, the basketball sneaker has been completely reworked, giving it a motorcycle boot aesthetic complete with silver studs, an exaggerated ankle strap, and an extended tongue height that fits the punk aesthetic purveyed by the collection.

While it's not clearer whether or not these will get a public release, it's safe to say that they are indeed showstoppers.
