The Danish designer has linked up with Asics SportStyle for their latest design of their ongoing collaboration. The Gel-Kinetic FR takes inspiration from the kinetic energy of flowers in motion, plants growing, petals falling – basically the constant change of nature – fusing Bahnsen’s floral motifs with Asics’ performance philosophies.

The shoe comes in two colourways, piedmont grey silver and black coffee, with a fine micro-textured base and a mix of glossy and matte layers, using a reworked style of lacing and strap systems, and added flower charms and beads.

And, of course, the campaign is a fun expression of Cecilie Bahnsen’s style. Shot with artist and photographer Isabelle Wenzel at an open-air theatre in Copenhagen, the images express that movement concept that inspired the shoes.

“I love the richness of detail and the playful elements that unfold across the shoe, giving them a sense of movement and bringing them to life,” Cecilie Bahnsen said on the release. “From the delicate transparencies and flower-shaped eyelets to the interplay of matte and glossy finishes, each layer introduces something unexpected and feeling light, joyful and full of playfulness. We wanted the campaign to capture these details in a way that felt beautiful, elevated and full of emotion.”
