After announcing Mauricio Pochettino as manager following its turbulent Premier League season, Chelsea FC is now looking to gear itself up for its 2023/24 campaign. Continuing its relationship with Nike that has existed since 2017, the duo has now produced the club's 2023/24 Home Kit, but this time, there's a twist.
By now, we're all used to seeing large chest sponsors emblazoned across pretty much every kit in each respective league, however, Chelsea has now opted for a more clean-cut approach. After its deal with telecommunications company Three was not renewed following the previous season, Chelsea's latest kit now arrives with a sponsorless aesthetic, and we can't help but notice just how good it looks.
Sure, one could argue that it's a bit lazy on the club's behalf to not secure a major sponsor in time for the season, but visually, you can't deny how much better this latest shirt looks. The kit itself is inspired by its 1997/98 campaign, where the club lifted the UEFA Cup. A crisp blue hue decorates the exterior, with tonal swirled patterns worked into its Dri-FIT ADV fabric. Both the Nike Swoosh logo and the Chelsea FC crest feature gold and iridescent detailing, making this kit stand out amongst the rest.
As it stands, the kit itself is currently available to purchase on the club's website, but it is not yet available via Nike. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled in the coming days for the further launch! In other football and fashion news, Liverpool F.C.'s 23/24 Away Kit offers a modern take on its 95/96 counterpart.
