Given the sheer wealth and size of adidas' retro back catalogue, there are certainly a few silhouettes that don't quite get the shine they deserve. One of which is the adidas Country OG, an unsung hero that was first introduced as a running shoe all the way back in the 1970s. Now, riding the wave of its retro silhouette success, the 3-Stripe brand has just readied two fresh renditions of the Country OG, each with its own take on things.
Our first silhouette is just about as classic as they come. Taking shape across its low-cut silhouette, shades of "Cloud White" and "Collegiate Green" work in unison to create a clean aesthetic. A distinctive gum sole sits underfoot, giving way to a primarily leather construction with touches of suede gracing the toebox and heel.
Its counterpart happily embraces the Y2K revival we're seeing take place at the moment with a shiny "Matte Silver" leather finish. In contrast, "Bright Blue" tints decorate the 3-Stripes, midsole, and heel tab, offering a pop of colour. Just like its companion, this particular rendition also features a gum sole, readily embracing the shoe's retro roots. Both silhouettes are currently available on adidas' website as we speak, but don't delay because sizes are beginning to sell out!
