After collaborating with plenty of different brands throughout the course of 2021 (New Balance, Reebok, Vans and Dr. Martens, to name a few), Montreal-based design studio JJJJound continues it’s collaborative efforts to round off the year with two winter boots courtesy of Danner, one of the world’s most renowned boot makers. Both of the silhouettes are hiking boots that debuted in the 1980s, known as the Feather Light and the Mountain Light.
No corners are cut with this premium collaboration, with the boots handcrafted in Portland, Oregon and featuring GORE-TEX lining to ensure they really are ready for the winter weather. Let’s not forget the fact that these are also equipped with none other than Vibram soles, offering up new levels of comfort and durability. If you’re on the hunt for a serious pair of boots then these really are an option that’s built to last!
Both silhouettes are decked out in a suitably drab colourway, with brown base layers accentuated with hits of green. Crafted from suede and leather, both pairs are fully waterproof thanks to the GORE-TEX linings, while gold-tone metal lace loops house rope-style laces that keep these firmly on feet at all times. Classic JJJJound branding is subtle yet tasteful, pointing to the limited-edition nature of this release.
If you’re looking to grab either of the options from this upcoming collaboration then you’ll be pleased to hear that they’ll be dropping exclusively via the JJJJound webstore on the 10th of December. Make sure to keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest and while you are here check out these 15 sneakers to gift a special someone this Christmas!
