If you ask any sneakerhead what the most iconic Yeezy colourway is, we can guarantee that a good chunk of those questioned will say the Yeezy Boost 350 "Pirate Black". First released back in August 2015, you guys were paying on upwards of £1,000 for a pair back in the day. While these did get a restock just over a year later, many sneakerheads still haven't managed to secure their size even after six years. With that said, if the latest reports are correct, the legendary "Pirate Black" could be about to get a restock very soon!
One of Kanye West's OG adidas sneakers, this 350 was one of the first to feature a full Primeknit upper, ushering in the sock-like sneaker era that we all know and love to this day. An integrated lacing system keeps things seamless, while a pull tab around the back is contrasted with red stitching through the centre for a look that is sure to turn heads. Of course, you can't talk about this shoe without mentioning the ribbed midsole underfoot. Infused with Boost technology, its design is still used today - a testament to just how timeless it was and still is.
With the "Turtle Dove" re-release expected to launch this month, a "Pirate Black" comeback shouldn't be too surprising. Our sources tell us that they will return sometime in 2023, so make sure you hit that purple button to stay notified!
Other than the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V1 "Pirate Black", what other Yeezys would you like to see come back? Could the 750 or the infamous 950 Duckboot relaunch? Let us know what you're thinking, and in related news, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Cinder Reflective" is also getting a restock!
