Are you ready for the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft Mars Yard 2.5? A rumour that has been making rounds since the end of last year, it looks like the coveted collaboration could finally be happening, and we're now getting our first ever look thanks to this shot from New York City's Half Gallery.
Made in collaboration with the American contemporary artist, Sachs and the Swoosh have been teaming up since 2012, kicking everything off with the Mars Yard 1.0 that is valued at over £20,000 at third party marketplaces. The fourth iteration of the space age-themed silhouette, while the alleged 2.5 shares many of the same design cues as its predecessor, it has pretty much been reworked from the ground up.

Dropping the usual mesh and suede construction that was seen on the 2.0, the 2.5 boasts a see-through upper with a red pull tab at the top of the tongue. A bright red Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial sides just like the OG, but unlike it, the toebox now features a protective black cap that gives the shoe a pretty rugged looking aesthetic.
Pretty much nothing else is known about the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft Mars Yard 2.5 at this moment in time, but rumour has it it'll launch sometime next year. Let us know what you think of this collaboration, and in related news, the Nike Dunk High "Varsity Maize" from 1985 is making a comeback!
