Could This Be the Yeezy Foam Runner V2?

When Kanye West first introduced the Foam Runner back in June 2020, it was the butt of every sneakerhead's joke. Fast forward just over twelve months and everyone wants a pair in their collection. All of a sudden, all the haters turned swiftly into hardcore fans that swear that they loved the design from the day they launched. 2021 has seen quite a few Yeezy clog colourways drop, and if these rumours happen to be true, we might just be seeing the Yeezy Foam Runner V2 in 2022.

Unveiled by reputable sneaker insider @sneakerjamz_new, the alleged Foam RNNR V2 doesn't stray too far away from the V1 but is pretty unique in its own right. Featuring a crisp all-white colour scheme, familiar perforations grace the lateral and medial side panels while the algae construction boasts a more layered aesthetic that bears a striking resemblance to topographical maps. A lot harsher in its design, it forgoes the usual smooth curves in favour of sharp edges that we actually quite like.

Looking down below, this has been fitted with a black rubber outsole similar to what you might find on the 700 V3. Interestingly, unlike the first Foam Runner this one features the adidas Trefoil logo rather than the classic one, perhaps hinting that this is more of a lifestyle-focused silhouette. As you can see from the early shots this element is haphazardly stapled on, hinting that this is just a very early sample for now.
