Day Of The Dead Vibes Feature On The Nike Cortez

After showcasing the Air Force 1 'Day Of The Dead' last month, Nike has now unleashed another thematic sneaker, this time taking on the classic Cortez silhouette. Celebrating Mexico's Día de Muertos which is just  around the corner, this is also the perfect shoe to rock over Halloween!

Featuring a full grain leather construction that adds a luxurious look and feel, this gothic version of Forrest Gump's signature shoe is painted in a black and orange colour palette that's spooky and striking at the same time. A clean white Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, which if you look closely enough, you'll find it's printed with a skull pattern for those Day Of The Dead vibes.

Moving towards the insole, a geometric skull pattern is printed across in orange. To round it all off, a complementary grid motif hits the tongue, and a luxe gold lace lock rounds it all off, etched with "Cortez '72"; in a cursive font.

A release date for the Nike Cortez 'Day Of The Dead' has yet to be officially confirmed, but with Día de Muertos taking place from October 31st to November 2nd, they should probably drop around then. Will you be adding these to your rotation? Let us know what you're thinking!
