That’s right, Drake and Nike are set to join forces on the launch of a new sub-label titled, NOCTA. With the huge news that the Swoosh brand and Toronto artist are set to collab on a new apparel collection, there’s no doubt Drizzy fans will be on the edge of their seat awaiting the latest release updates as they surface. The name NOCTA refers to the rappers nocturnal creative process.
Drake explains the ethos behind the label and how the idea came about on Nike News. What started out as a dream to work with Nike as a youngster who grew up wearing the Swoosh logo every day and inspired by the athletes who sported the brand, to the entertainer he is today now with his own line. Drake adds, “NOCTA is a realization of all these thoughts and everything I had hoped for — from the culture it’s rooted into the product and, most importantly, to the partnership and scale that allows me to share it with the world.”
“NOCTA is about creating something for people on the move. People who want functional, comfortable fits that are adaptable from one environment to the next. “ The artist explains that the brand is all about creating a mindset that encourages a ‘team feel’, belonging and being a part of something special through the uniform that ties each individual together.
