Following the “Germany” Samba that celebrated the national team’s 125th anniversary, adidas now turns its attention to Mexico with a striking new interpretation of the beloved Samba silhouette, dressed in an elegant black and gold colourway.
The adidas Samba “Mexico” is part of an exclusive collection by adidas that also includes a standout match kit. Early hints suggest the design draws inspiration from Mexico's jerseys for the upcoming CONCACAF tournaments, aligning perfectly with the country’s rich football tradition.
This special edition Samba features a textile upper, a suede T toe, and gold patent leather Three Stripes adorned with an embossed mariachi inspired pattern. Breaking from tradition, the usual “Samba” branding is replaced with “México,” proudly displayed on the side panel. The black and gold theme is further elevated by the intricate tiled patterns on the Three Stripes, echoing the design elements of the accompanying jerseys.
Additional standout details include a golden eagle emblem perched on the tongue and sock liner, symbolising Mexico’s national identity, as well as a mesh foundation that enhances breathability; ideal for active wear on the pitch.
The adidas Samba “Mexico” drops on 14th March at adidas and select retailers. Keep following The Sole Supplier for all the latest from adidas and the sneakerverse.
