CLOT has just landed its first ever London pop up, perfectly timed with the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. It’s called the "CLOT Country Club," and it's a definite twist on the traditional country club idea, bringing together sport and everyday style in a fresh way. It’s open from 4th to 13th July to everyone who appreciates originality and a new take on established concepts.
You'll find this temporary space in Soho, at 13 Bridle Lane. The design takes classic club imagery and breaks it down, creating something new. Step inside, and you're transported into a familiar yet different setting across two levels. The ground floor acts as a social space, showcasing Edison Chen's CLOT Stan Smith Espadrille Collection. Think tennis court elements, rackets, timber finishes, a crisp white and green colour scheme, and vintage furniture; it all works together to create an inviting environment. Plus, CAFÉ AO, also put together by Edison Chen, makes its London debut here, serving up coffee and unique drinks, aiming to spark new conversations around coffee culture.
Head downstairs, and you enter a completely transformed area, designed to resemble a lawn. This exclusive, members only zone features interactive displays and themed installations and where we arrive at the highlight: the unveiling of the newest collaboration between CLOT and adidas Originals, featuring Edison Chen's CLOT Stan Smith Espadrille Collection. The co branded range takes the iconic tennis shoe and gives it a serious espadrille makeover.
Let's talk about the kicks themselves. The classic white version features a deconstructed upper sitting atop a traditional espadrille sole. Intricate embroidery adds a lot of character and feel to the shoe. For the black version, the duo have used a synthetic jute inspired build, which tackles the challenges of dyeing while still giving you that authentic espadrille appearance. It also sports a distinct chenille heel moustache detail, adding a rich touch. Both colourways carry CLOT and Stan Smith branding on the heel tabs, acknowledging the collaboration's significant heritage and reflecting Edison Chen's approach to merging cultures through careful material choices.
Beyond the footwear, the apparel line includes a cotton crocheted vest, striped polos with matching tassel shorts, and a tailored camp style short sleeve shirt featuring lace embroidery over the classic adidas three stripes. Presented in forest green, cream, chocolate brown, with hints of maroon and gold, these items combine university inspired nostalgia with a modern athletic look.
CLOT’s even set up a special viewing area for the 2025 Wimbledon Tennis Championships, streaming daily matches live. This adds another layer to the "CLOT Country Club" experience, bringing together sport, personal style, and community.
To mark this occasion, CLOT has also released a limited edition London capsule collection. It draws inspiration from the city's rich culture, incorporating classic patterns, distinct textures, and contemporary design elements, giving English style a fresh interpretation. Additionally, expect to see exclusive co branded collections; including CLOT x Aries, CLOT x GIMME 5, and a new CLOT x BAPE® capsule; all dropping at the "CLOT Country Club" pop up. For more sales information, keep an eye on CLOT and JUICE on social media.
To make the "CLOT Country Club" experience even better, CLOT is offering an exclusive membership card, inviting those with similar interests to join this active community. Customers who spend more than £250 at the pop up event are eligible to receive a tangible membership card immediately.
This comes bundled with a welcome gift set, comprising a specially designed water bottle, a tennis ball, a commemorative pin, and a bespoke membership card. Please note, these items are available in limited quantities and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. The card is produced on site, letting you choose a photo for customisation; an exclusive feature for this London pop up, symbolising your membership and connection to the culture.
If you can't make it in person, you can register by scanning the QR code to create a personalised digital "CLOT Country Club" membership card. This gives you access to this exclusive opportunity and allows you to participate in the community.
The CLOT London pop up opened its doors on 4th July and runs until 13th July. Make sure you visit the "CLOT Country Club" to feel the energy that redefines established design through the lens of heritage, sport, and everyday life. And as always, keep following The Sole Supplier for all the latest from the world of sneakers and more.
