Back in December, leaks surfaced of the Ultra 4D "Triple White". Combining the iconic design of the Ultra Boost with the innovative technology of the Futurecraft 4D, it was truly the best of both worlds. After seven months of nothing but radio silence, we're now taking our first official look at the upcoming adidas Ultra 4D "OG", and it's everything we dreamed of and so much more.
While hype surrounding the Three Stripes' 3D printed midsole has certainly dropped over the past few years, there's no doubt in any sneakerhead's mind that this new silhouette will bring it right back. A clear reference to the original UB that debuted in New York City back in 2015, the upper is crafted from the exact same adidas Primeknit that was seen in the 1.0, all the way to the reinforced ankle region and matte black cage.
Down below, you'll find a fully blacked out 4D midsole that's made from a process called Digital Light Synthesis. Using light and oxygen to create the intricate unit, it results in the perfect amount of comfort and cushioning with every step. To round it all off, a purple heel cup graces the back, complete with "Ultra 4D" branding.
A release date for the adidas Ultra 4D "OG" has yet to be announced, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops! What do you think of this high heat hybrid? Will you be grabbing a pair or is it too little too late? Let us know what you're thinking, and while you're here, take an on-foot look at the Parley x adidas Ultra Boost 4D "Black"!
