This is it. After over two years of waiting, the Dior x Air Jordan 1 High has finally arrived. Teased by Travis Scott via his Instagram Story, it was officially unveiled during the French luxury fashion house's pre-Fall 2020 show in Miami, and it's absolutely stunning.
A sneaker that has been in the works since Kris Van Assche helmed the label in 2017, the special edition AJ1 is painted in an ultra clean white and grey colour palette and is crafted from Italian leather. Along the lateral and medial sides, you'll find a Swoosh that's made up of Dior's iconic logo. This is styled similarly to the brand's very own B23 high-top sneaker.
Down below, you'll find an Air midsole that's topped off with an icy blue outsole, and to round it all off, the legendary winged basketball is debossed with "AIR DIOR", finalising the design.
If you want the Dior x Air Jordan 1 High in your collection then you're going to need pretty deep pockets and plenty of connections. Priced at $2,000, rumour has it that only 1,000 pairs will be made. Dropping sometime in June 2020, be sure to keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops!
It's safe to say that the line between high fashion and sneakers is getting blurrier by the day. With the hotly anticipated Prada x adidas Superstar set to drop tomorrow, what other high fashion sneaker collaborations would you like to see in the near future? Make sure to let us know!
