Back in February, multiple sources claimed that Drake was about to jump ship from Jumpman and into the welcoming arms of adidas. Since the 6 God is still rocking Nike to this day, it's safe to assume that the partnership didn't go as planned, that said, we now have a first look at what the Drake x adidas sneaker could've looked like.
Surfacing on sneaker marketplace GOAT, the OVO x Pharrell Williams x adidas NMD Hu 'Champagne' features an all-black look. Boasting a stretchy Primeknit upper, the word "CHAMPAGNE"; can be seen embroidered along the vamp for that unmistakably Pharrell aesthetic. Down below, a full length Boost midsole is present for endless comfort and a smoother stride, and the design is tied together by 3M-infused rope laces.
According to GOAT, the 'Champagne' is a sample of the very first Drake x adidas sneaker, and while it's safe to say that it will never, ever get a public release, one can only imagine how INSANE this drop would've been. Let us know what you think of the OVO x Pharrell Williams x adidas NMD Hu 'Champagne' down in the comment section below! In related news, the next collaboration from Pharrell and adidas is launching this week!
