With the thirtieth anniversary of the AJ5 coming up next year, it looks like Virgil Abloh will be linking up with Jumpman once again for the Off-White x Air Jordan 5 "Black Metallic". A rumour that first surfaced at the beginning of last month, many sneakerheads were beyond skeptical, but if these leaked images are the real deal then we're in for a treat.
Photo courtesy of sneaker insider @kickwhoshow, the AJ5 features a stealthy all-black makeup and is decked out in a synthetic material. A full reflective tongue features so you'll be able to flex even in the dark, and Abloh's love of deconstruction makes an appearance once again, with quoted text on the laces as well as transparent portions scattered across the upper.
Interestingly enough, the "Black Metallic" also features a pre-yellowed midsole, perhaps harkening back to the Nike basketball silhouette's vintage roots. To round it all off, the number "23" hits the lateral heel, finalising the show-stopping look.
At this moment in time, pretty much nothing else is known about the Off-White x Air Jordan 5 "Black Metallic", but according to our sources it'll be making its debut during All-Star Weekend in February. This has yet to be officially confirmed, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops!
