The Ruohan Wang x Nike Air Max 90 is the latest collaboration from Chinese artist Ruohan Wang who previously teamed up with the American brand on a yet to be released Air Force 1 sneaker.
The Berlin-based illustrator returns with a similar aesthetic to her Air Force 1 shoe and brings her playful illustrations to the classic Nike Air Max 90. Wang has gone all out on the leather uppers! They're decked out with colourful graphics of Earth icons on the toe box and quirky Chinese characters on the lateral walls. Her Atlas figure makes a little comeback too with the globe in hand, set against a sky-blue backdrop.
Vibrant colours of purple and yellow pop at the rear with a bold heel cap and neon green on the midsole surrounding the orange Air Max bubble for the ultimate head-turning flex. The multicolour scheme comes into force on the sky-blue Nike Swooshes and bold prints of black and beige clash at the rear too. Finer details on the iconic silhouette include mismatched branded tongues and an extra dash of colour-blocking along the Swoosh. Finally, with a purple and tan camouflage print around the ankle, you'll have no problem standing out!
The Ruohan Wang x Nike Air Max 90 drops later this year and is an essential addition to any serious sneakerhead’s Air Max collection. Stay locked into The Sole Supplier for an upcoming release date and in related news, the atmos x Nike Air Max Zoom 950 has just been unveiled!
