New Balance are doing big things with the freshly announced 2002R silhouette. Following a major collaboration with BAPE and the release of the "Protection" Pack, the Boston-based footwear brand has now tapped The Basement for the The Basement x New Balance 2002R, and the results are truly breathtaking.
Unveiled in two clean cut colourways including "Cream" and "Green", the pairs work atop a soft suede base while premium leather panels wrap around the mid-section of the shoe. Visible stitching offers up a sartorial aesthetic, while beefed up mudguards at the toebox and heel make everything that little bit more rugged and ready.
We managed to get our hands on a pair of these sought after sneakers, so be sure to check out our unboxing and review below!
NB's signature italicised "N" logo adorns the lateral and medial side panels, while "THE BASEMENT" is stamped around the heel. Additional branding comes by the way of "BSMT" on the tongue, and rounding it all off are chunky black midsoles that's made from ultra cushioned ABZORB technology for an insane amount of comfort with every step.
A release date has yet to be officially announced for the BSMT x New Balance 2002R Pack, but they'll be launching pretty soon! Let us know which colourway you're feeling the most, and in related news, footwear and fashion collide on the Alpha Industries x New Balance 574!
