In bold fashion, Italian luxury fashion house Valentino has teamed up with UNICEF to release a limited edition hoodie promoting the COVAX programme.
The piece arrives with a 100% luxury cotton construction and is built to a relaxed fit. A deep black hue adorns the exterior of the garment with dark red accents working in contrast. A large "VACCINATED" signature is featured across the chest, with Valentino's signature "V" logo placed just above. Elsewhere on the sleeve, a "Cloney DUKE GEORGE tag is featured".
When speaking on the collaboration, Valentino's creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli said "Getting vaccinated has become the most effective way to fight this global pandemic, as well as a symbol of respect for others and social responsibility. One cannot hide behind the concept of freedom by deciding not to get vaccinated. Freedom must always be protected, and we must all fight for freedom but respecting others: the freedom to be ourselves, the freedom of thought, the freedom of love, the freedom to express and fight for our own ideas. Unfortunately, not all countries have equal access to COVID-19 vaccines. With this collaboration, Valentino supports UNICEF in the delivery efforts of life-saving Covid_19 vaccines.”
The pieces are currently available on Valentino's website and command a £590 price tag, with profits going towards the UNICEF COVAX programme. In other news, catch Z's not L's with this Supreme bed.
