Footpatrol, Mizuno, and designer Lorenz.OG have revealed the latest partnership, an athletic offering named "First Light." This capsule collection draws its entire essence from the day’s most ephemeral, yet potent, instant: dawn. Footpatrol and Mizuno successfully enlisted Lorenz.OG to capture this essential transition in apparel.
Lorenz.OG typically employs a design language built entirely on gradients, consistently investigating the connection between colour, motion, and the natural world. For this project, he focuses entirely on the gentle, shifting spectrum of a sunrise, applying this particular colour palette for the first time in his work. The final garments effectively communicate that quiet transformation between night and morning.
The range provides a comprehensive kit for serious runners, covering every requirement from top to toe. The lineup includes a lightweight jacket, a technical vest, a performance shirt, shorts, a cap, and two pairs of socks.
Mizuno contributes its reliable technical expertise and performance DNA, while Lorenz.OG provides the unique visual direction. Footpatrol grounds the entire project through its distinct community first ethos.
The collaborators completed the project's narrative by photographing the advertising campaign in Lorenz.OG’s family hometown of Rome at daybreak. The still, warm illumination of the Italian capital's early hours perfectly mirrors the collection's central inspiration.
To celebrate the clothing's arrival, Footpatrol invites local enthusiasts to join a collective group run on Saturday, 1st November, setting off from the Berwick Street shop at 8:30 a.m.; a clear reference to the design's early morning genesis. This release is exclusively available at Footpatrol’s London store and online.
