As we continue to power through 2022 it’s more than apparent that Jordan Brand still has the ability to impress in the sneaker world. Offering out some of the hottest silhouettes and head-turning colourways, the label continues to dominate the market and it doesn’t stop there, as there’s more heat on the way. We’ve got our hands on fresh images of some of the most anticipated drops set to launch this year, and there’s absolutely something for everybody.
From the 1985 AJ1 right through to retro versions of OG colourways, one thing is for certain and that’s the next few months are going to be rather expensive if you’re a Jumpman fan. Check out the upcoming pairs below and be sure to let us know which is your favourite!
As Michael Jordan ’s first-ever signature sneaker, the AJ1 holds a special place in the hearts of many sneakerheads. Returning in its original form, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG is seen here decked out in the iconic “UNC” colourway, paying homage to MJ’s college basketball days. Premium leather is used throughout and details include Swoosh logos, a perforated toe box and Nike Air embroidery on the tongues. Expected to hit retailers this September, hit the notify button above in order to stay in the know regarding this pair.
A faithful recreation of the 1988 classic, the Air Jordan 3 OG “Fire Red” is one of Tinker Hatield’s most-loved designs. The AJ3 was arguably the sneaker that kept MJ with Nike, and it’s not hard to see why. The retro design is matched with classic elephant print, grey and red details and a visible Air cushioning unit under the heel. Combine this with the highly-coveted Nike Air logo on the heel tabs and you have a must-cop sneaker. This pair is set to hit the market on the 10th September, although be aware that this could be subject to change.
Another Tinker Hatfield design, the AJ4 has enjoyed long periods of success this year, with plenty of colourways selling out instantly. The latest rendition unveiled by Jordan Brand is the Air Jordan 4 “Canyon Purple”. Offering up a mix of purple, green and red that gives us low-key Cactus Jack vibes, this pair is set to be hugely popular upon release. Stand-out details here include red Jumpman logos, speckle detailing and premium suede construction throughout.
While not as popular as its predecessors, the AJ5 still makes for a sneaker that’s crucial to Michael Jordan’s history with Nike. Offering up a familiar colour scheme, the Air Jordan 5 “Concord” is played-down and ideal for matching with outfits that need the perfect finishing touch. Plush leather adorns the uppers while the suitably-padded tongue is embroidered with a blue Jumpman logo. Purple lining and a clear plastic lace lock completes the look, making these a strong contender for the best 5’s of the year.
