From Your Switch To Your Soles: Animal Crossing Crocs Are Here

Nintendo and Crocs just dropped a collaboration that has us nostalgic for 2020. Known for their bold and unique approach to collaborations, this latest pair of Crocs takes inspirations from island escapes, but not in the way you may think. Teaming up for the first time, Nintendo and Crocs are dropping a pair of Animal Crossing clogs.

The shoe's midsole showcases ocean inspired elements, mirroring the areas where players would usually snorkel in Animal Crossing. Moving up, the upper mimics an island landscape, providing the perfect canvas for you to customise with themed Jibbitz, just as you personalise your in game islands. Crocs has even reimagined the heel strap as the sky, complete with a floating balloon; a direct nod to those present filled gifts you shoot down in Animal Crossing.

Now, for the details that truly make these pop. The right shoe comes loaded with Jibbitz featuring Tom Nook, Daisy Mae, a Bells icon, and a little house. On the left shoe, you'll find Timmy and Tommy from Nook’s Cranny, the legendary musician K.K.Slider, and an apple tree.

Beyond these, you can grab a variety of extra collectable Jibbitz, spotlighting fan favourite villagers like Marshal, Rosie, and Bunnie. Additionally, two more Jibbitz collections are available: one focuses on the Able Sisters; Sable, Mabel, and Label; accompanied by a backpack and a piece of clothing, while the other pack presents Blathers wide awake, Celeste, Pascal, a scallop shell, and a fossil Blathers has no desire to acquire.

While not the first time Animal Crossing have been the inspiration for a collaboration, this is the first time we've seen Nintendo x Crocs work together. With so much potential for future collabs in the future, we're excited to see where this partnership might go.
