While this certainly isn't their first 4/20-influenced sneaker, the Nike SB Dunk High "Strawberry Cough" is definitely one of the Swoosh's best. A theme that runs through their DNA, images of this fruity crep first leaked all the way back in April 2020, and now, it looks like its release is finally here!
Getting its name from the popular marijuana strain, the "Strawberry Cough" is painted in a green and red colour palette that bears a striking resemblance to the tasty fruit. From the fuzzy suede upper that's done up with pock marks, to the leafy back pull tab, the Beaverton brand definitely didn't hold back when it came to its inspiration for this Dunk.
An icy blue rubber midsole sits down below, while a coughing strawberry illustration makes its way to the heel and insole. This is the work of iconic Californian artist Todd Bratrud who has previously worked with Nike on a number of occasions, with the last time being the Nike SB Dunk High "Send Help 2" from 2013.
The Nike SB Dunk High "Strawberry Cough" is set to drop over in the States on October 22nd with a European release expected very soon after. Have you been waiting for these to launch? Be sure to keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for your best chance to cop, and while you're here, you might as well grab an official look at the Supreme x Nike SB Dunk High "By Any Means"!
