If you ever watched or read Gundam as a kid or as an adult, then the upcoming Gundam x Nike SB Dunk High "RX-0" was created just for you. Made in collaboration with the Japanese military science fiction franchise which made its initial debut back in 1979, it's still as popular as ever thanks to its multiple films, video games, and now, sneaker collabs.
Unveiled via several reputable sources, this Dunk pays homage to the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam which was first seen in the first episode of Gundam Build Divers. Spotted in here in two colourways, the first pair boasts a dark blue and burnt orange palette, while the second opts for a bold red and white scheme which is the most traditional of the two.
Both pairs are stuffed full of references to the mechas. Boasting a premium leather construction, the RX-0 Unicorn logo is printed along the lateral heel while a robot-inspired chest plate replaces the classic perforations that you'd normally find on the toebox. One of the biggest differences of them all though can be found across the sidewalls. Here, you can switch up the Nike Swoosh with various Gundam variations. You can even add two as well if you really want to change things up. Something interesting is that each pair also comes with a range of stickers so you can customise your pair to your heart's content.
Set to drop very soon, the Gundam x Nike SB Dunk High "RX-0" is made for fans of the manga giant. Let us know which colourway you're feeling the most, and in related news, the Nike SB Dunk High "277" is inspired by Magnus Walker's 1971 Porsche 911!
