There is absolutely nothing wrong with having too many black sneakers in your collection, a black pair of kicks go with everything and anything in your wardrobe. So why not take a closer look at forthcoming COMME des GARÇONS BLACK x Nike Zoom Talaria? Designed by the legend Tinker Hatfield himself back in 1997, the cult-classic Nike running shoe is making a comeback this year in a CdG BLACK makeover and here's everything that you need to know.
Collaborations between the Swoosh team and Rei Kawakubo's Japanese fashion label COMME des GARÇONS have been ongoing for many years now, and we have to admit that it just gets better and better every time. Following the release of their Air Force 1 Mid collaboration from late last year, it's the Nike Air Zoom Talaria's turn to join the line-up and rumour has it that sneakerheads are already gearing up for the hotly anticipated launch.
Arriving as part of COMME des GARÇONS BLACK (a sublabel of Rei's Paris-based Japanese brand focused on delivering blacked-out clothing pieces), official images of this Zoom Talaria displays the pair wrapped in black overlays from heel to toe as expected. The upper predominantly consists of supple suede and premium leather fabrics throughout while Nike's Zoom Air cushioning technology concealed in the midsole ensures these runners are worthy of being your new daily steppers.
Nike's iconic Swoosh logo graces the tongue, ankle, and further co-branding details proudly displayed on the heel in a crisp white hue gives the design a pop of contrast and further cement the coveted collaboration.
A release date is yet to be officially confirmed, so be sure to stay locked into our social media channels if the COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Zoom Air Talaria Black is on your must-cop list this season! In related news, an epic three-way collaboration between the aforementioned duo and world-famous female Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka is also on the way!
