We're no strangers to the D/MS/X line. A division of Swoosh shoes that focus entirely on futuristic footwear, it made its debut in the middle of last year and was met with much fanfare among sneakerheads. With that said, it looks like they're going for a more retro look and feel this year as we get up close and personal with the Nike D/MS/X Sting 2020.

Early photos courtesy of sneaker insider @solebyjc, there's a lot going on here. Taking its uppers directly from 1978's Sting, the D/MS/X Sting 2020 is painted in the signature green and brown palette and crafted from nylon and suede, respectively. A clean white Swoosh then glides across the side panels for that classic look that we all know and love.
Moving downwards, we're presented with an unusual juxtaposition of styles, shifting full throttle in the future with a curvaceous midsole that references the Air Pippen 2 - especially with the blue accent. This is then lined with a gum raffle outsole, finalising the design.
It's worth noting that when the Nike D/MS/X Sting 2020 does finally drop, it won't have the pen scribbles across the sole unit as these are what you'd usually find on sample pairs. Let us know if you'd add these to your collection, and while you're here, make sure you secure these 15 Nike Air Force 1s for near or under retail at StockX!
