The Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 "Baroque Brown" was probably one of the most anticipated collaborations of 2021. First teased by the Beaverton brand themselves back in March of last year via the SNKRS app, the highly-coveted sneaker was delayed indefinitely following the Astroworld Festival 2021 tragedy where 10 lives were lost. With that said, new rumours are suggesting that a release is coming up just around the corner, and before they officially launch, we're getting up close and personal with La Flame's next "Cactus Jack" trainer!
Spotted here in "Baroque Brown", this is just one of five colourways that are reportedly dropping this year. Completely turning the Air Max 1 on its head, the upper is crafted from a rugged mesh construction while earthy leather and suede panels wrap around the rest of the AM1. Just like the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 "Dark Mocha" from 2019, a backwards Swoosh shoots across the lateral side panel, while the medial one is left in its classic shape.
Nylon straps can be found across the lacing system and back to form a heel pull tab, and just below this you'll find a "Cactus Jack"-branded flag that reminds us of the Boy Scouts. Thick rope tie everything together, and down below, a creamy midsole is present for a vintage vibe, complete with blocked out Air bubbles that finalise this peculiar Nike partnership.
Just one of the five colourways set to drop later this year including the "Grey Haze", the "Off Noir", the "Saturn Gold", and the "Wheat", the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 "Baroque Brown" is unlike anything else out there. Make sure you hit the purple buttons to keep notified of any potential release info, and while you're here, you might as well take a closer look at the Travis Scott x Nike Air Trainer 1 SP "Grey Haze"!
