The Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 is no doubt going to be one of the most hyped sneaker collaborations of the autumn and winter seasons. First teased all the way back in March, we know for a fact that the "Baroque Brown" will be accompanied by a whopping four other colour schemes. We also know that the shoe will feature one of the most controversial design features La Flame has ever done - and we're now getting up close and personal with it.
Inspired by trail shoe, the "Cactus Jack" Air Max 1 arrives in an earthy palette that combines brown tones with cream hues. Crafted from ballistic mesh, premium leather, and buttery suede, this is one of the most luxurious sneakers that Travis Scott has worked on. A brand new "CJ" emblem adorns the tongue while Boy Scout-style flags are flown proudly at the heels.
A backwards Swoosh shoots across the lateral side panels kinda of like the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 High from 2019, while thick rope laces give the AM1 a hiking boot-influenced aesthetic that's hard to ignore.
As the title of this article states, we're getting a closer look at the most controversial part of the shoe which is the blocked out Nike Air bubble. We have no idea why the rapper decided to do this, but covering up one of the most iconic features of the AM1 is definitely a bold choice for sure.
We don't know when the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 "Cactus Jack" is set to drop but it will definitely be sometime later this year! Let us know which colourway you're feeling the most, and while you're here, you might as well take a potential first look at the Next Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6 "Cactus Jack"!
