For over five months, we've been reporting that the legendary Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Bred" was making a comeback, and our prayers have finally been answered. To many, this colourway is the epitome of the 350 V2. Released during the peak of Yeezy hype, it was the shoe that got a lot of you into sneakers and it continues to inspire many even three years later.
If you didn't manage to secure a pair back in the day then we've got your back. Still as iconic now as it was back then, we've compiled a few tips and tricks on how you can maximise your chances of getting a W, so stop what you're doing, sit back, and read on!
Painted in a seriously stealthy colour palette, the "Bred" boasts a sock-like Primeknit construction that hugs the wearer's foot perfectly. Thick rope laces tie everything together, while the back is adorned with the OG pull tab that offers up the perfect slide in and slide out experience. Shifting your focus down below, you'll find an insanely comfortable adidas Boost midsole that continues to blow our minds even half a decade later.
Of course, you can't talk about this shoe without mentioning the "SPLY-350" detailing that's finely stitched onto the lateral side panel. While we still don't know what this stands for, we can definitely appreciate that it's there.
Whether you copped back in 2017 or you're on the hunt for your first pair, if you're reading this then the chances are that you desperately need the "Bred" in your life. If that sounds a bit like you, then the first thing that you need to do is follow us over on Twitter. By following @thesolesupplier, we'll update you on the latest news surrounding the release, while @thesolerestocks will keep you locked in with direct links and potential restock information as well.
Once you've done that, head on over to our "Bred" raffle guide and enter as many as you physically can. As expected, there really aren't too many, so to increase your chances you can try and enter with multiple accounts.
With that said, it's worth noting that some retailers will take money off you first so don't be alarmed. This is a completely normal procedure and it's been implemented to prevent bots from applying too many times. Why? Because f*ck bots.
If you didn't already know, the "Bred" will be launching at 7am on December 5th through the official adidas app and 8am on Foot Locker UK, so don't forget to set your alarms and mark your calendars. For adidas, they'll be dropping via a raffle release that ends at 6:30am on the same day, so make sure get your entry in before it's too late. As soon as 7am hits, the app will begin drawing names randomly and the shoes will be automatically ordered and delivered straight to your door.
If you want to increase your chances of getting a W, you can also borrow a friend or family member's phone to try your luck. It goes without saying but make sure you social distance - we're not out of the woods yet.
If there's one thing that we just can't stress enough, it's how important it is to have all your payment and address info saved and verified. Better yet, let your bank know that it's actually you who's making the transaction just so they don't put it on hold. While it's going to be particularly hard to get them on the phone especially at a crazy time like this, banks have been known to block transactions that they deem suspicious.
If at this stage you still haven't copped, don't worry, as we've got another pretty good tip for you. Load up that IG app right now and follow every single retailer that sold the "Bred" as they're known to re-raffle unclaimed pairs. This happens with the majority of hyped drops, so there's a huge chance that you'll be able to cop here.
If that doesn't work out, then you've got two more options. You can either go on StockX and get a pair there, or head on over to The Sole Supplier's dedicated Buy & Sell Group on Facebook where you can buy, sell, and even exchange trainers for the pair you want. You probably won't get them for retail here but we've got some pretty good and honest members so don't be surprised if you do.
And that's that! If you follow every single one of these steps, you've got a pretty good chance of copping the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Bred" come December 5th! Let us know if you manage to grab a pair, and be sure to keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for the latest and greatest sneaker news and releases!
