Almost 30 years after it first came out, the PUMA Speedcat is more popular than ever before. And not just in its original colours. The Speedcat has transformed into ballet-style sneakerinas, wedges, and most recently its Croco Leather iteration.
The new croc design, fronted by K-pop idol and Blackpink member Rosé in PUMA’s recent campaign, is out in three colourways: black, off-white and deep brown. The new suede, tonal hues with the vinyl croc detail are really giving us outfit inspo for the autumn season. So, we picked up all three colourways and had a go at styling them.
PUMA Speedcat Croco Leather in “Chocolate Fondue”
We love a brown colourway for autumn, and this “Chocolate Fondue” really hits the spot. This chocolate brown suede upper adds a richness and warmth to any outfit, and the vinyl accents add dimension to the shoe. We’ve paired it with matching brown socks, a black/pink striped long-sleeve and grey joggers.
PUMA Speedcat Croco Leather in “Warm White”
The seasonal switcheroo is here. It’s not yet time for our heavy coats to come out of their summer hibernation, but we need a light layer, which is why a trench coat is a must for this transitional weather. Refresh the classic trench silhouette and opt for a cropped iteration with a funnel neck detail. Style with classic blue jeans and the Speedcat Croco Leather in this off-white tone. Very chic for autumn.

Sometimes, when it comes to an all-black colourway it’s fun to do a full 180 and style it with an all-white ensemble. The high contrast really brings out the crispness of the white but also lets the shoe stand out. Nush here has picked out a white long-sleeve halter, white jeans, a lot of jewellery to add some dimension, and a zebra-print bag to match her black-and-white palette.
