Dreamy custom designs…
March 26th marks Air Max Day, an event dedicated to paying tribute to the first ever release of the Air Max 1, which launched on the same date in 1987.
In celebration of Nike's special day, a collective of influential women have put their own stamp on a selection of Air Max designs.
Female creatives, including Mega McGrath and Stephanie Au, collaborated with Nike and Hypebae to produce some seriously beautiful adaptations.
Take a closer look at the results below and get ready to feel inspired by Nike's iconic silhouette.

Sophia Wilson
Fashion photographer and New Yorker Sophia Wilson is known for her bedazzled Air Force 1 creations, and her custom Swarovski Crystal Air Max 95s have certainly followed suit in a spectacularly sparkly fashion.

Frankie Collective
Frankie Collective's Sara Gourlay and Tamara Grunberg have updated Nike's AM 95 with a touch of pink and metallic detailing. Silver chains and a Swoosh zipper charm complete this dreamy design.

Mega McGrath
Artist Mega McGrath has used her text art skills to channel Frank Ocean's song "Nikes"; for her Air Max Day creation. Frank's lyrics are hand-painted across the Air Max 90's side panel, and contrasted with Nike's iconic "Orange Box"; Swoosh for an OG inspired look.

Elizabeth De La Piedra
Photographer Elizabeth De La Piedra has taken Nike's visible Air bubbles to the next level by adorning the Air Max 90's entire silhouette in bubble wrap. We couldn't think of a more fitting tribute for this signature Air Max feature.

Stephanie Au
Olympian, model, and actress Stephanie Au has given Nike's Air Max 270 a glistening makeover. Customising the AM 270's bubble heel with Swarovski crystals, Stephanie has taken a glamorous approach to her Air Max Day challenge.
